Amelie is a charming French movie about doing good for the sake of others. In Amelie, Audrey Tautou sports the cutest 1920s bob haircut that is just as quirky as the character she is playing. The whole time I watched this movie, I couldn't take my eyes off of her hair! I'm sure it's a combination of her face shape, body type, personality, and haircut that really makes her sparkle, but that hair!! I haven't particularly been drawn to this bobbed style before. It's funny how one thing that's been around forever can suddenly grab a hold of your attention and becomes shining new idea you can't get out of your mind. That's what Amelie's hair is doing to me. I definitely don't share similar physical features as Audrey Tautou so I'm not sure if this style would work for me. It's the kind of cut that could "make you or break you" in the looks department. And right now my hair is looooong - almost to my butt, long (due to 6 years of "waiting it out"). But gosh, this cut looks so fresh. And if I can make it compliment my bohemian style... I just might do it.
My grandma was a teen in the 20's and that is exactly how she wore her hair as long as I knew her. Too funny.

Thanks for sharing that, Melanie. It's fun to watch fashions from the past make their way into the present. I read about the bobbing haircut movement in the 20s and it appeared to be quite the controversy. Which is interesting to think about in todays culture where -everything goes!
