I'm still doing a lot of settling in my new place. When I moved to Kansas City in September, I graduated from a small studio into a two bedroom house. But being the hunter-gatherer that I am, that translates into, "I don't have enough furniture for all my random collections". So, I still have boxes everywhere until I acquire the appropriate amount of shelving and cupboards. A couch would be nice, too! In due time, it will all come together. It's such a wonderful feeling to now be accompanied by a dishwasher and a washing machine! I'll tell ya, without those two tools, I struggle with being tidy. I just want to draw, craft and play on the computer all day - not clean house! I've managed to set up a somewhat organized space on the desk that allows me to work on small chalkboard projects. It's not my ideal setup but it allows me to focus on the Christmas commissions I'm receiving with all my tools within reaching distance. A comfortable environment really is crucial to allowing your creative juices to flow. When the desk is too cluttered, my mind becomes cluttered, too.
